Payzone has signed a long-term contract with ScottishPower to offer bill payments which means retailers can offer this payment solution to customers in all Payzone stores and Post Office branches.
ScottishPower was founded in 1990 and is the first energy provider in the UK to provide 100% green electricity and deliver a better future for everyone, quicker. We have been providing ScottishPower smart metering payments for a few years now so the acquisition of Talexus, Quantum and barcoded bill payments means that retailers can offer more ways for customers to pay their energy bills in store. This new contract win follows a number of recent partnerships for Payzone, including Bulb, meaning more services in store for your customers.
This bill payments service, in addition to our existing Smart Pay as you go top up service, means that more ScottishPower customers will now have access to bill payments in Payzone stores and Post office branches. Customers can make payments by bringing their barcoded bill, prepayment key or card to top up over the counter in your store or branch by using our Payzone terminals.
Simon Lambert, Commercial Director for Payzone, says:
“We are pleased to welcome ScottishPower bill payments on board. This is the latest in a long line of energy contract acquisitions. ScottishPower have a strong UK customer base, especially in Scotland, and this new contract means that more customers can pay their bills through Payzone or the Post Office through this latest partnership.
Neil Pegrum, Head of UK Operations for ScottishPower, says:
"We're thrilled to be working with Payzone as it makes it easier and more accessible for all our customers to pay their bills and top up their prepayment meters. With the added convenience of 24,000 Payzone stores and Post Office branches to choose from, ScottishPower customers are never too far away from a branch so they can access our services and pay bills or top up with ease..
ScottishPower is the UK’s first integrated energy company to generate 100% green electricity. This new bill payments service is in addition to the existing SMART PAYG top up service available in Payzone stores and Post Office branches. This new contract allows retailers to open up their bill payments service to a wider range of customers who use a variety of bill payment methods. ScottishPower supplies gas and electricity to over 500,000 prepayment customers in the UK who can benefit from topping up or paying their gas and electricity bills at their local Payzone store.
For over 30 years, Payzone has provided card and bill payment services to independent retailers, multiples and symbol groups across the UK. Payzone works hard to provide payment solutions for retailers, businesses and customers. Together with the Post Office, Payzone now provides card and bill payment solutions to 24,000 Payzone stores and Post Office branches across the UK.
