Case Studies
Trussell Trust operates over 1,200 food banks in the UK. Since partnering with them, several Payzone and Post Office retailers have set up their collection points in-store to take donations. Donations are given to those who need them within the local area.

Kim went to her local Trussell Trust depot in Ellesmere Port to make a donation and lend a hand.
Here is what Kim had to share about the experience.
“It's been a tough year and now more than ever people are relying on their local food banks. Before I visited the food bank, I made sure to call the depot to find out if there were any particular items they were running short on. Lindsey, the Manager at West Cheshire food bank, mentioned that this makes the process a lot easier as people get the items they really need.
Throughout my day at West Cheshire food bank, I got some great insight into how the Trussell Trust works and how the community benefits from the service it provides. What surprised me the most was how many people rely on it. People from all walks of life come to the food bank. Even those with full-time jobs find themselves needing a little extra support. Items that we have in the kitchen cupboards that we take for granted can really make a difference to someone and their family. The best part is that you can go to many different drop off points to donate that are local to you.
The Trussell Trust volunteers really do go the extra mile and take the time to have a cup of tea and chat with the people who are using the service. They form a connection with those who are most vulnerable and support them as best as they can.
My resolution for 2021, is not only to donate when I can but also to volunteer at my local depot. I've realised how even one day of my time can really do a lot to help someone”
You can support your local community by setting up your own food bank collection point in your Payzone store.
